How do I register for the contest?

Please select the quiz option on the first page of registration, and click Enroll now. Enter your details such as name, address, phone number, email (if you have one), enter a password that you can remember, click the checkbox of accepting terms and conditions, and click ‘Proceed to Pay’. You can choose UPI payment or Credit / Debit card payment mode. On successful payment of INR100 or the equivalent in other currency, you will be redirected to the Login page. This completes the registration / enrollment for the contest.

After registering, what should I expect?

After successful enrollment, you will be redirected to the login page. Once you login, you can access contest related reference material and daily practice quizzes. On the day of the contest, the website will have links for the Contest quiz.

What reference material is given for preparation?

For English – https://www.valmiki.iitk.ac.in/
For Telugu – PDF files of Sri: Bha:shyam Appalacha:rya Swami’s Thatthvadi:pika. The entire slo:ka text can be found in the first half of the PDF and you can find the commentary in the second half of the PDF.

Is the quiz sent to my email?

The link for Daily Practice Quiz will be sent to the registered email address soon. You can however access the quiz anytime of the day on the website. Login to your account on www.sriramayanamcontest.org and click on ‘Contest’ under Menu. In the Contest section, select the quiz that is loaded under ‘Daily Practice Quizzes’ section

What time of the day will the daily quiz be sent to me?

A daily practice quiz of 10 new questions will be uploaded for you on the website by 6:00 am IST.

I didn't see today’s quiz in my ‘Daily Practice Quiz’ section on the website. Also, I did not get the quiz link to my email. What happened?

There could be a technical glitch. For any questions or issues like this, please reach us 7901422022 / contact@ramayanacontest.org. Allow us a maximum of 24 hours to respond.

How do I attempt a practice quiz?

Login to your account on www.sriramayanamcontest.org and click on ‘Contest’ under Menu. In the Contest section, select the quiz that is loaded under ‘Daily Practice Quizzes’ section. Answer each question and complete the quiz. After you input the answer and click on ‘Check’, you will be informed instantly whether the answer is right or wrong. You can continue by clicking ‘Next’ to move to the next question until all 10 questions are answered.

Are practice quizzes counted towards contest score?

No, practice quiz scores are not counted towards contest scores. It is however recommended that you practice daily to get prepared for the contest rounds.

Are quizzes time-bound?

Daily Practice Quizzes are not time-bound currently. This may change as time progresses towards the final rounds.

How many questions are there in each practice quiz?

Each practice quiz has 10 questions each. It may vary as the days progress towards final rounds.

How long does it take for me to complete a practice quiz?

The daily practice with 10 questions each may take 5 to 10 minutes depending on how well you are prepared for it.

Can I take a break and come back to continue the practice quiz on the same day?

Yes you can. The daily practice quizzes are not time-bound.

Why can’t I see my previous day’s quiz? I was busy at the office yesterday, and I want to go back to check the previous day's quiz.

The previous day quiz is not available as they are meant to be taken on that day. The test takes 5 to 10 minutes and is made available for 24 hours of the day. Kindly, set aside some time everyday so you will not miss them.

What is the process of selecting for the contest?

Each Participant will be assigned to one of these groups based on their age..

(Beginner: 5-15 years, Intermediate: 16-35 years, Expert: 36+ years)

  • 29 winners will be chosen and awarded from each group, there will be 87 winners in total
  • The best performer from each group will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1,00,000/- (One lakh rupees).
  • The second-best performer from each group will be awarded with a cash prize of ₹75,000/- (Seventy-Five thousand rupees).
  • The third best performer from each group will be awarded with a cash prize of ₹50,000/- (Fifty thousand rupees).
  • The fourth best performer from each group will be awarded with a cash prize of ₹25,000/- (Twenty-Five thousand rupees).
  • The next twenty-five (25) best performers from each group will be awarded prizes of ₹2,000/- (Two thousand rupees) each.
When will the dates for online selection rounds be announced?

Does the complexity of questions go high depending on the age group?

In the beginning of the practice phase, the question complexity is the same across all age groups. Going forward, the complexity will vary as per the age group.

What are the dates for the two online selection rounds?

Dates are not yet finalized. As soon as they are announced by the organizing team, they will be communicated to the registered email addresses. Also, the website will have the details announced as well.

If selected for the final round, do I have to be at the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad or can it be taken online?

Yes, the final quiz is conducted in person at the Statue of Equality.
